Community Habilitation Aides:
To work 1:1 with children and young adults with developmental disabilities who live with their families in Schenectady, Rensselaer and Albany Counties. The person will assist the individuals with recreational as well as training type activities. H.S. diploma or GED and a valid driver's license required. 6 to 15 hours/wk. $11.46/hr. Actual hours of work to be determined by the needs of the individual families.
Respite Worker / Respite Coordinator: To work with children and young adults with developmental disabilities in an afterschool respite setting at local area schools. This person will assist the individuals with recreational activities. H.S. diploma or GED and a valid driver's license required for worker positions, advanced degree required for Coordinator position. Both positions are part time up to 20 hours per week, typically within the hours of 2:30 p.m. - 6:00 p.m., Monday thru Friday. Worker - $12.00 hourly, Coordinator - negotiable based upon experience.
Direct Care Professionals:
Provide services for people with developmental disabilities. We have continuous recruitment for Direct Care Professionals whose responsibility it is to provide care and assistance to the residents of the homes operated by the Agency. Starting pay is $9.40+/hr. depending upon experience and successful completion of the three-week training curriculum. School diploma or GED and a valid NYS driver's license required.
Assistant Residential Manager: To assist in the management of a residence(s) for people with developmental disabilities. Knowledge of OPWDD regulations, supervisory experience and experience working with people with DD is necessary. Bachelor's in Human Service field is preferred. Salary is negotiable based upon education and experience. Flexibility in work schedule is necessary.
